What is Marble Valley?
The Marble Valley Regional Center for the Arts (MVRCA) was established by dedicated volunteers and community members who have pursued the dream of creating a regional facility for major musical programs, plays, and name entertainment as well as local arts, dance and cultural events in the foothills of El Dorado County. The Center will address a host of regional needs by combining a mid-sized theater with a modern visual arts wing and multi-use studio theater for smaller productions and meetings. A 2,500 square foot Visitor Center will display and promote the rich resources and opportunities of our region. A high tech business confererence center is also planned.

Where will it be located?
The facility will be nestled in the 22 beautiful acres overlooking the wooded hills surrounding an area called Marble Valley. It is located south of Highway 50 between the Bass Lake and Cambridge Road Exits.

Why is it in El Dorado Hills?
The S.H. Cowell Foundation donated this valuable site to us in 1990. It is the perfect location for the Gateway to El Dorado County.

Why is it taking so long?
Despite the years of continual donations by individuals, charitable trusts of various denominations, and continual donors such as El Dorado Savings Bank, we have millions of dollars to go. When the anticipated large pledge failed to materialize awhile back, we had to cut our paid staff and are now back to 100% volunteers. In addition to our annual Butterfly Concert, several special events are planned for the future.

How can a person help?
If you know of or are connected to any benefactor that could provide a significant contribution to begin our first phase of construction, please let us know. All donations, whether monetary or "in-kind" are greatly appreciated. Note form on bottom of page to make your tax-deductible contribution. We look forward to seeing you at our events.
